Running with Kites - part of the Brisbane Festival

Ds and DH attended with my dad and stepmum

Apparently hese kites were huge! The shark, killer whale and mermaid in the first pic were actually one kite. Amazing! The second pic is a cool wiggly worm type kite - also massive as you can see.

These are the puppets that my SIL and others made. They're called Uppatree Arts - they do performances all around the traps including Woodford. It's the first time DH and DS have managed to see them.

And below is the band of musicians who follow the pupets around and provide backing music. My bro is the one with the bass guitar.

Mama Mia!

I saw it yesterday - it was absolutely hilarious. I thoroughly recommend it - lots of silly fun and great songs. I didn't realise how much of an ABBA fan I was until yesterday! And I must say that Meryl Streep is absolutely hilarious - I love her even more than I did before. So too, Julie Walters and of course, Colin Firth. Great fun.

Still have a horrid cold - when will it go? Baby girl still has cold - currently the males in the household are clear *touches wood*

will post some more pics over the next couple of days. I love blogspot!

And now . . .

Just thought I'd post some pics of the last swap I did. I was very fortunate to get a beautiful handmade jumpsuit for Miss Eliza and a gorgoues fiddleknits soaker also for Miss Eliza from the lovely Kate. Here's what I made for Kate.

Lovely czech glass faceted rounds and rondelles with silverplated wire and sterling ear wires. The necklace is black silk - I really do love this set.

I also made a breastfeeding jewellery set for Kate too. Here 'tis.

That's it from me for now - have few more things to post just not the time!
